Hello,

I’m Alison, the founder of Blue Pomelo, a Brooklyn-based interior design and custom furniture studio. I moved to NYC a year ago, bringing with me a design journey shaped by diverse places and experiences. I was born and raised in Hong Kong, where I was first exposed to art and design in its vibrant city. I then moved to London to further my studies and became an architect. However, it was in Cambodia, where I spent ten years building schools in the countryside, that my love for craft and working with natural materials began.

Blue Pomelo was many years in the making, and the name is a reflection of my roots and creative philosophy. Growing up in Hong Kong, people from my hometown are often called "Pomelos." The color blue symbolizes limitless ideas, creativity, and exploration. This studio is my journey—an ongoing pursuit of designing spaces that foster new ways of living, building meaningful habits, and thriving while staying authentic to oneself.
